This School is held in Westover AL, just south of Birmingham on Mr. Rick Shelton's private farm estate. The Shelton farm is setup perfectly with a 7 acre Casting/Fishing pond, class room pavilion, water and restrooms and even a fire pit to enjoy in the cooler months.
Lessons can be tailored to your needs, whether needing to improve your double haul or to perfect your roll cast, a lesson from a qualified instructor is often the quickest way to reach your goals .
Foundations of Fly Fishing Class
This all-day class for beginning fly casters will include demonstrations, discussion, and practice in the following areas:

Introduction to Equipment

including fly rods, reels, lines, leaders, and flies

Basic Fishing Knots

Elements of Fly Casting: including essential terms. casting grip, stance, and stroke

Basic Fly Casts: including the Roll Cast, False Casting, the Pick Up and Lay Down Cast, the Roll Cast Pick Up, among others
