I am a Fly Fishers International Certified Casting Instructor  (FFI CI) . While you don't necessarily need to hold a certification to teach fly casting, IFF Certification ensures quality professional instruction as well as a wealth of knowledge on the mechanics of fly casting.  As I worked through my IFF certification as a self-growth and  self-enlightenment project, I found that helping improve clients' casting and knowledge of casting is almost as rewarding as netting them their personal best fish.  I have spent three years teaching classes as a retail associate for the Orvis Company, as well as private and group lessons.
